The VeNect Connector is a Vector Equillibrium Intersection Point that quarter inch diameter rods and dowels can be inserted into. It can be used to build a tetrahedron (4 VeNects), a Vector Equillibrium (13 VeNects) or anything composed of the Isometric Vector Matrix Geometry.
The component can be scaled down to accommodate things like tooth pics, and cotton swabs, or it can be scaled up to accommodate things like the shafts of ballpoint pens, or even larger for things like PVC Piping.
What’s The Story?
I have a passion for geometry, and a while back, I read Synergetics by Buckminster Fuller. Within a week of reading the book, I had the idea for the VeNect Connector. Then I got distracted by other projects and forgot about it for a while. Flash forward to May of 2017. The idea came back to my mind, so I designed a few prototypes in Blender3d, then went out and bought the cheapest 3d printer I could find. About 50 man hours, and 100 print hours later, I had a perfect VeNect Connector. And now I am sharing it with the world!
