Dog Star is the finest piece of audio I’ve ever produced. Over the course of a month, it was composed, mixed and remixed 14 times, and then mastered another dozen times until I had the sound just right. I made use of a cassette deck made in 1986 to test each master. If it sounds good on my boombox from the 80’s, I figured it would sound good on anything! By the 12th master, I finally had a mix that I was happy with wearing headphones, in my car, on my computers speakers, and though my 80’s boom box. The end product is a masterpiece. Anyone who knows me well knows that I’m not a perfectionist, so this process was an extreme test of my technical diligence. I believe my effort paid off.
